Situated in the Vale of York it has the beautiful North York Moors to the east and the picturesque Yorkshire Dales to the west. Topcliffe has a long and interesting history, being mentioned in the Domesday book and with indications of a settlement in the area dating back to Neolithic times.

Swaleside currently operates on a 9 month license but can offer 11 month holiday use. The park is set in 11.5 acres and has a licence for 87 Holiday Homes all of which are owner occupied and the site is maintained to the highest standards. The previous owners of Swaleside were keen to see that the family principals of running the park were maintained and, in their words, ‘they didn't want to sell to just anyone'. We were understandably delighted when York House was chosen as the ideal new operator, as Swaleside fits exactly with our style of holiday parks.
